Kouts Youth Soccer League Board Meeting
Cornerstone Church June 1, 2009 @ 7:30 pm

Current Business:
Treasurer’s Report: Discussion of sales from concessions sold. Discussion of bills paid and unpaid. Discussion of donation received. Discussion of purchase of 2- 6 foot tables from Menards for $30 each.
New Business:
Supplies: Discussion of purchasing a new tent that is on sale for approximately $200. Voted on and approved.
Banners: 2 Banners to be purchased for sponsors and a banner for publicizing Kouts Youth Soccer- “come kick it with Kouts Youth Soccer”. Banners can be hung on back angled fence to show sponsorship.
Registration: Registration ends on June 19th, 2009 for the spring season. A league meeting with other schools will be held sometime the end of June.
Spring Season: More Excitement with league!! Game goers just loved having concessions at field – lots of requests for more items from attendees. There were a few complaints on jerseys snagging due to material. Complaints due to parking lot and possible injury to kids – can lines be painted on the parking lot for spacing?- Kathy will talk to Jean O. about parking and possibility of selling additional pre-packaged items for concessions next season. We can give a reminder to Jean O. of Jeff Henley’s certificate of food safety due to job if needed.
Guidelines: guidelines given to coaches for a reason. Pre K and K coaches need to follow how many children should be on the field at one time.
Training: Videos are available for training techniques and drills that can be done to help coaches learn skills for soccer. Also training will be available for all who will be coaching for First Aid and CPR- free through the Kouts Fire Department possibly sometime in July.
Safety: creation of “Cool Zone” for those who get injured or overheated to prevent anyone getting sick. Possibility of getting Volunteer Fire First Responders to come to games in case of an Emergency. Jeff will talk to Department for volunteering.
Trophies: we have 4 large boxes of trophies left over from previous seasons. Picnic: picnic for board members and fellow Kouts soccer lovers to help expand our board and get others involved. Possibly end of June. Jackie looking into dates.

Draft will be on July 24th, 2009 at Cornerstone Church- time to be established.
Next meeting will be on July 13th, 2009 Cornerstone Church at 7:00pm.
We would like to send out a special thank you to all who volunteered to coach, help with concessions, board members, and others who are willing to make Kouts Youth Soccer a success. We will accept everyone who is willing to help by volunteering. Thank you for a successful season and may next season be even better!
